Metal Roofing System
Because our partnership with McElroy Metals, TAG Roofing & Exteriors can offer you a standing seam metal roof which has become more prevalent for its durability, energy efficiency and stylish curb appeal. Our 24-gauge roofs are impact resistant which outperforms standard shingle roofing systems. These roofs come in many different colors, seam heights, and pan widths. We even have the ability to change the way we lock the seams that allow for the profile look that you desire.
Some examples of locks are known as the snap lock, double snap lock, tee lock and even the overlap lock. These metal roofs are known for not having exposed fasteners. This means that the screws and connectors used to construct this metal roofing system are hidden underneath and are not exposed to the harmful elements above them. Because we use an ISO certified metal roller to design your panels, McElroy will warranty these roofs in the class 4 hail resistant category
We also offer metal paneled roofing systems through Sheffield Metals. These metal roofing systems are less expensive simply because they are manufactured to come in corrugated sheets that interlock on top of one another when installing. Galvanized screws with polymer washers are used to fasten the panels down to your decking or batons. Because this product isn’t custom designed for your home and the screws must be replaced every 10 to 12 years, they are a more economical way to have the metal roofing system that you desire.
Gerard and Decra are two other manufacturers who TAG Roofing & Exteriors works closely with. These stamped metal roofing systems are another choice that we provide to our customers. These residential roofing types are made to mimic different roofing materials such as shingles, Italian tile, and even slate. After stamping out the metal in your desired look, these manufactures spray or “coat” a granular substance onto the metal. This not only to give it a great look and color, but it also protects each panel from the elements. These stamped pieces are then installed by us to overlap each other, shed water and give you up to 50 years of protection to your home.
