What is single-ply roofing?

Single-ply roofing is wide width sheeting meant for low slope roofs such as on commercial buildings.

TAG Roofing and Exteriors offers three types of single-ply roofing. These prefabricated membranes are manufactured in a factory for quality control to meet your unique low-slope project application requirements.

Single-ply roofs have far fewer seams than asphalt rolled roof systems and do not require dangerous torches or hot asphalt for installation.

MATERIAL

TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

· The most popular product in commercial roofing, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) is the most economical choice in heat-weldable membranes.

· TPO offers ease of welding for seaming and detailing.

· Comes in a variety of thickness options to suit a mix of facility applications

· Proven to flexible for either roof replacement or recovering projects

· Highly reflective and helps to reduce air conditioning costs.

· TPO provides LEED credit qualification, is Energy Star rated and Cool Roofing Rating Council approved.

EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer)

· EPDM membrane provides long-term strength, durability and weatherability.

· Its black surface can assist with snow melt and heat gain in colder climates.

· Material elasticity is great for freeze/thaw conditions and hail-prone areas.

· EPDM can be easily installed without electric-powered tools.

· Fire resistant

· Recyclable

· Qualifies for LEED points

· Meets ASTM standards for new membranes

PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

· Good for restaurants, airports and commercial facilities with grease, oil and chemical concerns

· Long-term roofing solution

· Highly reflective and able to help reduce air conditioning costs — great for warm, southern climates

· Qualifies for LEED credit

· Puncture resistant and strong seam bonding provide waterproofing protection

· Suitable for new roofing installation or as a cost-effective reroofing solution

MORE SINGLE-PLY ROOFING DETAILS:

These commercial roofing systems can be installed with multiple isolation boards under the membrane, which can improve the R-Value and lower energy costs.
Typical commercial construction involves a low-slope roof. Our single-ply roofing is designed to allow water to pool without leaking and causing damage.
These boards can also be purchased with an engineered pitch on the top side and flat bottom. This makes it possible to transform a flat roof into one with a pitch, which will assist with water management
